Madhavan made his big screen debut 15 years ago with Mani Rathnam's Alai Payuthey, which was later remade into Saathiya. He also had a good 2015 with Tanu Weds Manu Returns and is preparing for Saala Khadoos. Speaking to the press earlier this week, the star had a lot to say about his run at the box office.
He spoke of how, in the last 15 years, he has done only 11 Hindi films, the last being Tanu Weds Manu Returns. He said he believed it is not the quantity of work but quality that is more important. The star also spoke about taking things slowly over the past three years because he felt he had become mundane and boring in his acting.
Apparently, Saala Khadoos is being shot separately in Tamil and Hindi. Both films have a different cast and Madhavan has to effectively make and dub two different scenes.
