Sanjay Dutt has never done this before  

Rajkumar Hirani has announced a biopic on controversial star Sanjay Dutt, starring Ranbir Kapoor as the lead. Interestingly, Dutt himself may make a special appearance in the film based on his life.

According to news reports, Dutt's entry in the film is being planned towards the end. He is currently serving his sentence at Yerawada jail and is expected to be out of prison in 2016. Dutt is also supposed to be involved in the making of the film. It helps that Rajkumar Hirani is a close friend of the star's.

The biopic is said to be an unabashed portrayal of the actor's life that will touch upon his relationship with his father, his three marriages and alleged connection with the underworld.
