Omjee Star Studios announced that it would be releasing the two films in quick succession over the new year.
Punjabi movie Galwakdi set for release on last day of the year; Main Te Bapu on 14 January 2022

Omjee Star Studios has shared the release dates for two of its Punjabi-language movies — Galwakdi and Main Te Bapu.
Galwakdi, starring Tarsem Jassar and Wamiqa Gabbi, will be released on 31 December 2021. The film is written by Randeep Chahal and directed by Sharan Art. Jagdeep Singh Warring has done the screenplay and dialogues.
Omjee Star Studios shared the news on Twitter by posting posters for the two films with the dates.
The post for Galwakdi said, “Celebrate your New Year with a hug of love, Galwakdi, in cinemas on 31st December, 2021.”

The release of Galwakdi will be followed two weeks later by that of Main Te Bapu, a story about the bond between a father and son, on 14 January 2022.
Written by Warring, the movie has been directed by Uday Pratap Singh. Main Te Bapu stars Parmish Verma along with his father Satish Verma.
The poster for the film carries the line, ‘Like father, like son.’ Actress Sanjeeda Sheikh will also be seen in this family drama.
