Coronavirus update: Kartik Aaryan tests positive for COVID-19

Kartik Aaryan is the latest Hindi film celebrity to test positive for COVID-19.

The actor shared an image of a plus sign on Instagram on Monday afternoon, which was captioned, “Positive ho gaya. Dua karo.” [I have tested positive. Pray for me]

Interestingly, Kartik walked the ramp for designer Manish Malhotra and actress Kiara Advani at the Lakme Fashion Week yesterday. The actor was in close proximity with both Malhotra and Advani [as seen in the picture] on the ramp.

Kartik is currently shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 with Advani. The film, which is the second in the franchise, is being helmed by Anees Bazmee. The first film was directed by Priyadarshan and it starred Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. Kartik also has Dhamaka coming up soon. 

National COVID-19 numbers have seen a spike since mid-February, with Maharashtra being one of the biggest hotspots in the country currently.
