Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor are not too fond of each other, especially since Kapoor dated Khan’s former-girlfriend Katrina Kaif.
Khan’s Race 3 is set to hit the screens on 15 June, while Kapoor’s Sanju, the biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt, will be released on 29 June.
In a group interview with select media, Khan spoke on his views about Sanju, and apparently took a dig at Kapoor.
Khan said he is surprised why Sanjay Dutt was not picked for the role in the film, adding that he feels no one else can do justice to the character than Dutt himself.
Bollywoodlife.com, an entertainment website, quoted Khan as saying, “For the movie Sanju, I thought why did somebody else play his part. No one can do justice to that. The last bit of the film, Sanju only should have played it himself. The last portion of the last eight to ten years, Sanju only should have done it.”
The Race 3 actor though heaped praises on Sanju's director, Rajkumar Hirani. "Raju Hirani is a very sensible filmmaker, I am sure he has made a good film,” Khan said.
Sanjay Dutt and Khan have been close friends since long but this relationship, too, has reportedly not been the same after Dutt came out of jail in 2016.
